1. Super brain yoga

Super brain yoga activates acupuncture points on the earlobes that helps stimulate your gray matter improving focus, concentration and memory power. It synchronizes the left and the right side of the brain. It also makes you more psychologically balanced.

1. To begin the routine, stand in a quiet room as straight as possible, with your arms down the sides.

2. Lift your left arm and hold your right earlobe with your thumb and index finger. Your thumb should be in front.
3. Lift your right arm and hold your left earlobe. Your right arm should be over your left arm.

4. Inhale deeply and squat down slowly to a sitting position.

5. Stay in this position for 2-3 seconds.

6. Gently exhale as you rise up again. This completes one cycle.

You may repeat this cycle about 15 times every day.
2. Foot and Hand Brain Break

1. You may stand or remain seated for this activity.

2. Lift your right foot off the ground slightly. Then begin to move it in a clockwise direction.

3. Keep that going and then move your right hand in an anticlockwise direction. (Your foot may turn in an anticlockwise direction first but step by step you'll learn how to do the exercise correctly.)

4. Switch to the other foot and hand.
3. Sixes

1. You may stand or remain seated for this activity.

2. First, lift your right foot off the ground. Move your right foot in a clockwise circle.
3. Keep that going, and then with your right pointer finger, try to draw a big figure "6" in the air. The challenge is to complete the "6" without messing up what your foot is doing.

4. Repeat this pattern several times and then switch to the other foot and hand.

5. Try reversing the motions to anticlockwise and the number 9. Keep going.
4. Ear and Nose Switch

Fine motor skill challenges are great for brain health. Using your fingers and hands in dynamic tasks stimulate nerve endings that go right to your brain.

1. You may stand or remain seated for this activity.

2. Grab your right ear lobe with your left hand.

3. Take your right hand and touch your nose.

4. Cross your arms and switch. (In other words grab your left ear lobe with your right hand and touch your nose with your left hand.)

5. Switch again. Repeat in rapid succession.
5. Head and Tummy Brain Break

1.You may stand or remain seated for this activity.

2. Rub your stomach with your left hand.

3. At the same time pat your head with your right hand. Repeat several times.

4. Switch. Rub your stomach with your right hand and pat your head with your left hand. Repeat.
6. Finger-Thumb Brain Break

1. You may stand or remain seated for this activity.

2. Put your fists together.

3. Point your index finger on one hand and stick your thumb out on the other hand

4. Now switch… and switch again…How fast can you go?
7. Thumb-Pinky Finger Brain Break

  1. In this drill, while seated or standing, raise both hands about away from your chest.

  2. On one hand, put up only your thumb (like you're giving someone a "thumbs up").

  3. On the other hand, extend only your pinky and fold the other fingers and thumb in.

  4. Now, simply switch. On the hand with the thumb up, lower the thumb and extend the pinky.

  5. On the hand with the pinky extended, fold in the pinky and raise the thumb.

  6. Repeat this drill as fast as you can for 20-30 seconds.
